A cooling circuit is a controlled system for cooling a heating or externally heated technical device, such as a drive or tool. Cooling media (water, oils, etc.) are fed into a cooling circuit. Their task is to ensure that the heat energy is dissipated as quickly as possible and, at best, in a controllable manner with as little loss as possible. In industry, cooling circuits are used, among other things, in production technology (cooling of workpieces/tools), in plastics technology (cooling of injection molding tools) or in process technology (process cooling).
